Denver Broncos tight end Eric Saubert plays in the National Football League. He is 1.96 m tall and 115 kg in weight. When he attended Hoffman Estates High School, he participated in football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Drake University and played football for the Drake Bulldogs. It was confirmed in December 2016 that he agreed to take part in the 2017 East-West Shrine Game.
In the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected Saubert with the 174th overall choice. In August 2019, he was transferred to the New England Patriots. After the last roster cut on August 31, 2019, the Patriots released him.
On September 1, 2019, Saubert joined the practice squad of the Oakland Raiders. He was taken off the Raiders practice squad in November 2019 and signed by the Chicago Bears. Throughout the 2019 season, he caught two passes for 21 yards. He was added to the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars in September 2020. In May 2021, Saubert inked a contract with the Denver Broncos.
In Week 1’s game against the New York Giants, he registered one catch for 7 yards as the third tight end on the active roster. In the week 12 victory over the Chargers, he caught his first touchdown pass ever. He renewed his contract with the Broncos in May 2022.
