Eric Tomlinson was added to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad on November 23, 2020. For the team’s games in weeks 12, 13, and 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars, he was promoted to the active roster on December 2, 2020, December 8, 2020, December 14, 2020, and December 19, 2020, and then returned to the practice squad following each game.
On December 22, 2020, he received a promotion to the active roster. Tomlinson and the Ravens agreed to a one-year contract extension on February 10, 2021.
Tomlinson was fired on August 31, 2021, but resigned the next day. On November 1st, 2021, he was let go and re-signed to the practice squad. Tomlinson was added to the active roster on November 11, 2021.
Tomlinson attended Klein High School, where he also participated in football. Tomlinson spent 2011 to 2014 as a student and collegiate football player at UTEP.
On December 11, 2014, it was revealed that Tomlinson and teammate Jameill Showers had accepted their invitations to participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
He participated in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on January 17, 2015, as a member of Mike Holmgren’s American squad, which was defeated 17-0. Tomlinson attended the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with 19 other tight ends from colleges.
He had an average overall performance, placing tenth in the bench press and ninth in his position group in the 40-yard dash. He presently plays as a tight end for Denver Broncos.
