NFL punter Corliss Waitman plays for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He is 95 kg in weight and 1.88 m tall. He attended Milton High School, where he also participated in football. From 2014 to 2018, he was a member of the University of South Alabama’s South Alabama Jaguars football team.
He changed schools to Mississippi State University in February 2019. In April 2020, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed undrafted free agent Waitman. On September 5, 2020, he was released and later re-signed to the practice squad. He entered onto a reserve/future contract on January 14, 2021, and on May 3, 2021, it was waived.
His acquisition by the Las Vegas Raiders happened in July 2021. In December 2021, the New England Patriots released him after promoting him to their practice squad in November. He was then signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Week 16’s defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, he took part in his first NFL contest. On January 15, 2022, he got his freedom.
Two days later, he was claimed by the Denver Broncos off of waivers. In the third round of the 2022 CFL Global Draft, Waitman was also selected by the Edmonton Elks. He was selected to serve as the Broncos’ opening punter on August 29, 2022.
