DeShawn Shamaine Williams is a defensive end for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He was born on December 29, 1992, in Central, South Carolina, United States.
His college football career at Clemson. On May 8, 2015, Williams became a member of the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team.
During the final roster cuts that took place on September 5, 2015, he was cut loose by the Bengals and immediately signed to their practice squad the following day.
On January 6, 2016, he joined the Bengals on the reserve/futures roster after signing a deal with the team. Williams was let go in November of 2016, but he signed with a new team just two days later.
Williams was placed on the Bengals’ practice squad after being released from active duty by the team on September 2, 2017.
Williams signed a reserve/future deal with the Denver Broncos on January 17, 2018, then after being waived on September 1, 2018, he was signed to the practice squad the following day.
On January 17, 2018, Williams signed a reserve/future contract with the Denver Broncos. On September 11, 2018, he was let go by the Broncos, and on September 14, 2018, he was re-signed by the Broncos.
In Week 8, Williams was given the nod to lead the offence, and he continued to do so throughout the rest of the season.
In Week 16, he went down with an elbow injury and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. After 15 games and eight starts, he finished the season with 39 tackles, one sack, and two passes defensed. He played in all of the games.
