Victor Bolden Jr. entered the National Football League as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2017. The wide receiver, who is in his sixth season, currently plays for the Denver Broncos.
Bolden attended Los Osos High School. His interest in football started when he was in eighth grade. He initially started on the track and field team. Bolden is regarded as one of California’s top hurdlers in the sport.
He has won the Baseline League 300-meter hurdle competition on two separate occasions and now holds the school record with a timing of 37.82 seconds in this event.
He finished in second place in the 300-meter hurdles competition at the 2012 CIF Championships.
Bolden played as a utility player on the football team. He now owns the record for most receptions at Los Osos with 109. As a senior, Bolden was named Most Valuable Player of the Team and was also chosen as the scholar-athlete for the football team.
He had a cumulative grade point average of 3.60. He was one of the candidates considered for the title of CIF/Farmers Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
His involvement in athletic activities did not affect his academic work, hence, he graduated from Los Osos and attended Oregon State University.
He played four seasons of college football for the Oregon State Beavers. Bolden won the competition for the kick return job during training camp, which gave him the chance to play as a true freshman. During the game against Washington, he established single-game records for the Pac-12 Conference with 12 kick returns for 305 yards.
