Tyrie Cleveland joined the Broncos as the 252nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He is currently in his third season with the team.
Cleveland’s journey to the NFL all started as a youngster. He was a student-athlete at Westfield High School in Houston, Texas. During his junior and senior years at Westfield High School in Houston, Cleveland amassed a total of 99 receptions, 2,091 receiving yards (averaging 21.1 yards per catch), and 27 touchdowns.
After completing 46 passes for 982 yards (averaging 21.3) and 14 touchdowns during his senior season, he was invited to participate in the Under Armour All-America Game in 2016.
As a sought-after prospect, Cleveland had a lot of offers from different institutions but eventually chose the University of Florida and played three years of college football for the Florida Gators.
In his first season with the Gators, Cleveland scored a touchdown on a reception of 98 yards against LSU in a game that Florida won 16–10 and secured the SEC East title. He ended the 2016 season with 14 receptions, 298 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns thanks to his performance.
