The Denver Broncos of the National Football League are the team that William Sherman, an offensive tackle, plays for. With 1.93 m and 136 kg of weight, he is both tall and large. Allen High School, where Sherman attended and played football, was coached by Terry Gambill. After graduating from high school, he went to the University of Colorado and played football for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Following a redshirt season as a true freshman in 2017, he participated in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2018, starting the final nine. The group awarded him the Offensive Trench Award, and the National Football Foundation’s first team for the Colorado Chapter was selected to include him.

During his time at college, he participated in 24 games, starting 21 of them. Going into 2020, the team’s 21 offensive starts rank first and are tied for second-most on the roster.
In the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Sherman was taken by the New England Patriots with the 197th overall pick. On August 30, 2022, the Patriots released him, and on September 1 of that same year, the Denver Broncos signed him to their practice squad.
