Born born October 17, 1991, William Mason Turner aka Billy Turner is an American football offensive tackle for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL).
Turner studied at Arden Hills, Minnesota’s Mounds View High School. He was an all-state lineman for the Mustangs’ football team, contributing to their 26-8 record, section titles, and three straight trips to the state playoffs.
From 2010 through 2013, Turner studied at North Dakota State University. Turner started 12 games in 2010. He began 14 games in 2011.
Turner was a first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection in 2012 after starting 15 of those games. He started every one of his 15 games at left tackle in 2013 and had no involvement in any QB sacks.
Turner was the most highly selected North Dakota State player since Lamar Gordon in 2002, who was projected by CBS Sports to be selected in the second to the third round.
The Miami Dolphins selected him 67th overall in the third round of the draft. Turner and the Green Bay Packers agreed to a four-year, $28 million contract on March 14.
Prior to suffering a knee injury during the Packers’ week 14 game against the Chicago Bears and missing the remainder of the regular season, Turner started the first thirteen games of the 2021 season at right tackle.
For the remainder of the regular season, Dennis Kelly started at right tackle. With a 13-4 record, the Packers earned the top NFC seed at the end of the year.
