Zayne Anderson plays defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League. He is 1.88 m tall and 93 kg in weight. He attended Stansbury High School, where he played running back and safety in high school football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Brigham Young University, where he played NCAA football for the BYU Cougars.
As a freshman in 2015, he participated in eight games, largely on special teams, and made three tackles. As a sophomore in 2016, he participated in all 13 games and recorded 11 tackles, including six solo. During his junior year of 2017, he played safety. He participated in all 12 games, finished with 61 tackles, including 41 solo stops, and played safety.
He took a medical redshirt year in 2019 and participated in two games, starting one before getting hurt. He redshirted at BYU for two seasons due to injury, but he still participated in 50 games and made 162 tackles in his tenure there. After Anderson went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs signed him as an undrafted free agent.
He was added to the team’s practice squad after being discharged on August 31, 2021. In December 2021, he was elevated to the active roster. Anderson was released by the Chiefs on August 30, 2022, and was added to the practice squad the following day.
