Defensive back Zayne Anderson plays in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is 1.88 m tall and 93 kg in weight. He attended Stansbury High School, where he played running back and safety in high school football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Brigham Young University, where he played collegiate football for the BYU Cougars.
He took part in eight games as a freshman in 2015, primarily on special teams, and had three tackles. In 2016, he participated in all 13 games as a sophomore and recorded 11 tackles, including six solo. He started all 12 of the games he participated in as a safety during his junior season of 2017, and he finished with 61 tackles, including 41 solo stops.
While on a medical redshirt year in 2019, he participated in two games, one of which he started. Due to an injury, he had to sit out for two seasons at BYU, but he still played in 50 games and recorded 162 tackles throughout the course of his career. Anderson was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.
He was released on August 31, 2021, and he afterwards joined the team’s practice squad. He was added to the player roster in December 2021. Anderson was released by the Chiefs on August 30, 2022, and he joined the practice squad the following day.
