In the National Football League, Zayne Anderson is a defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs. He stands 1.88 m tall and weighs 93 kg. He went to Stansbury High School, where he participated in high school football as a running back and safety. He entered Brigham Young University after finishing high school, where he played NCAA football for the BYU Cougars.
In 2015, he played in eight games as a freshman, mostly on special teams, and had three tackles. He played in all 13 of the games as a sophomore in 2016 and made 11 tackles, including six solo. He played safety during his junior season of 2017, appearing in all 12 of the games and finishing with 61 tackles, including 41 solo stops.
In 2019, despite being on medical redshirt, he participated in two games, starting one before getting hurt. He played in 50 games for BYU and totaled up 162 tackles over his career, despite redshirting for two seasons due to injuries. The Kansas City Chiefs acquired Anderson as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 NFL Draft saw Anderson go undrafted.
After being let go on August 31, 2021, he joined the team’s practice squad on September 1st. His promotion to the active roster occurred in December 2021. On August 30, 2022, Anderson was released by the Chiefs, and the following day he was added to the practice squad.
