Orlando Brown is a professional offensive tackle for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. He is 154 kg and 2.03 m tall. He attended Peachtree Ridge High School, where he played high school football. He made the decision to enroll at the University of Oklahoma, where he played collegiate football for the Oklahoma Sooners.
At Oklahoma, he redshirted his first year, then as a redshirt freshman in 2015, he was selected as the starting left tackle. He declared in January 2018 that he would bypass his senior year and instead declare for the 2018 NFL Draft. He participated in all of the positional drills and the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, however his performance was lacking.
The NFL Network’s Mike Mayock branded his timing for the 40-yard dash at the combine as being the slowest of any prospect and a “historically awful time.” Brown was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens with the 83rd overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was added to the roster for the Pro Bowl that was currently taking place in January 2020.
He was named as a reserve offensive tackle for the 2020 Pro Bowl. Brown was acquired by the Kansas City Chiefs in a trade in April 2021. He received a non-exclusive franchise tag from the Chiefs in March 2022. He signed his $16.7 million franchise tag tender on August 2, 2022, after failing to come to a long-term agreement.
