Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Shane Buechele plays in the National Football League. A 95 kg man, his height is 1.83 meters. During his time there, he played varsity football at Mirabeau B. Lamar High School. He carried for 6,379 yards and 21 touchdowns on 1,805 attempts throughout his high school career.
He was one of the top quarterback prospects in his class, and as such, he was invited to compete in the Elite 11 quarterback competition. He finished in second place overall after impressing the coaches with his accuracy in that area. He represented the University of Texas at Austin’s Texas Longhorns in collegiate football from 2016 to 2018. Just two games in 2018 saw him participate.
After graduating from Texas, he changed schools and played collegiate football with the SMU Mustangs. He got the start for the Mustangs against Arkansas State in the season opener. In the 37-30 win, he completed 30 passes out of 49 attempts for 360 yards and one interception.
Buechele joined the Kansas City Chiefs in May 2021 as an undrafted free agent after failing to be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft. On August 31, 2021, he was released. He was added to their practice squad the next day and promoted off of it on November 16, 2021.
