Geron Christian Sr., who was born on September 10, 1996, is an offensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League in the sport of American football (NFL).
He received a football scholarship to the University of Louisville, where he played college football, and was selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
After transferring from West Port High School, which is also located in Ocala, to Trinity Catholic High School, Christian earned his diploma in 2015. Trinity Catholic High School is located in Ocala, Florida.
He was an athlete in many sports, including basketball and football. Christian, a three-star offensive line recruit, had previously committed to play college football for Miami.
However, he later changed his commitment to play for Louisville instead of Miami after receiving offers from Arkansas, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, and Texas.
Christian is now enrolled in the Cardinals’ football program. Christian started all 39 of the games he participated in throughout his collegiate football career,
which spanned from 2015 to 2017 and began when he joined the Louisville team as a true freshman. Following his junior campaign in 2017, he announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft the following year.
In the 2018 NFL Draft, Christian was picked up by the Chicago Bears in the third round (74th overall). On June 24, 2018, he became a rookie by signing a deal worth $3.74 million over the course of four years.
Before Christian suffered a torn medial collateral ligament, he participated in two games for his team. Christian was given the job of starting on the left side of the offensive line to begin the 2020 season.
After sitting out the next three contests, on November 19, 2020, he was put on injured reserve and never played again.
