Darian Kinnard, an offensive tackle, competes professionally for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. At 1.96 m tall and 146 kg, he is also quite tall. He attended Dobyns-Bennett High School for his first year of high school, and Saint Ignatius High School for the rest of his time there. He played football while a student at the University of Kentucky for the Kentucky Wildcats.
In his nine games as a true freshman, he played in two and started two more. He started all 13 of the Wildcats’ games as right tackle during his sophomore season in 2019. He had 32 knockdowns but only one penalty in 706 snaps throughout the course of the entire season.
With 3,624 rushing yards, 36 rushing touchdowns, and 6.3 yards per carry, he assisted in breaking single-season school records. He participated in all 11 games during his junior year and was chosen for the Second and Third All-American (AP) teams, respectively. He was ranked as the 12th Consensus All-American as a senior at the University of Kentucky.
He finished his college career having started 39 consecutive games while participating in 46 total games. He was a vital cog in the offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award for best offensive line in the nation for four straight seasons. He played right tackle on the “Big Blue Wall.” The Kansas City Chiefs selected Kinnard in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
