Derrick Nnadi, a defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL), was born on May 9, 1996. He previously played collegiate football at Florida State. He was born in Nigeria.
He attended Ocean Lakes High School and Corporate Landing Middle School in Virginia Beach. Nnadi accepted the Senior Bowl invitation for 2018, it was disclosed on December 9, 2017. On January 19, 2018, it was revealed that Nnadi would miss the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl due to an injury.
Nnadi participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and finished all of the workouts for his position. His whole performance was deemed subpar, which hurt his draft prospects.
Nnadi was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In order to select Nnadi, the Chiefs dealt their third round pick (86th overall) and fourth round pick (122nd overall) to the Baltimore Ravens for the Ravens’ third round pick (75th overall).
On March 20, 2022, Nnadi re-signed with the Chiefs. The 2018 Senior Bowl invitation was accepted by Nnadi, it was revealed on December 9, 2017.
