Cory Undlin is an American football coach who now serves as the passing game specialist and secondary coach for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers.
In 2020, he served as defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions and previously worked as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, and New England Patriots, among other teams.
Undlin went to Philadelphia following three years with the Denver Broncos as the group’s guarded backs mentor (2013-14) and a protective quality control mentor (2012).
Preceding Denver, Undlin invested energy with the Jacksonville Jaguars as protective backs mentor (2010-11) and a guarded partner (2009). From 2005-08, Undlin was with the Cleveland Browns starting as a guarded quality control mentor (2005-06) preceding moving to optional/associate exceptional groups mentor (2007) and afterward was elevated to protective backs mentor (2008).
He originally entered the NFL training positions as a guarded right hand with the New England Patriots in 2004.
Preceding his time in New England, Undlin worked at the university level at Fresno State as the school’s protective backs mentor in 2003. He started his training profession at California Lutheran University as the school’s linebackers mentor (1998-99) and was subsequently elevated to the defensive coordinator (2000-02).
