The San Francisco 49ers are an American football team headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. The 49ers are a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) West division of the National Football League (NFL) and play their home games at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which is 38 miles (61 kilometers) southeast of San Francisco.
The prospectors that landed in Northern California during the 1849 Gold Rush inspired the team’s name.

Rice is the career leader in most key wide receiver statistics categories, including catches, touchdown receptions, and receiving yards, and was once the season leader in total yards and touchdowns. With 1,256 points, he holds the record for most points scored by a non-kickoff player in NFL history.

Terrell Eldorado Owens, also known as T.O., is a former American football wide receiver who spent 16 seasons in the National Football League. Owens, a six-time Pro Bowler, and five-time first-team All-Pro holds or shares several NFL records. He has the third-most receiving yards and touchdowns in his career.
Ronnie Lott
Ronald Mandel Lott is a former American professional football player who spent 14 seasons in the National Football League as a cornerback, free safety, and strong safety in the 1980s and 1990s. Lott was a consensus All-American while attending the University of Southern California.
He is one of just five players to have appeared in each of the 49ers’ four Super Bowl victories in the 1980s.
Roger Craig
Roger Timothy Craig is a retired American football running back who played in the National Football League. He was a member of the Minnesota Vikings, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Los Angeles Raiders. Craig represented the 49ers in four Pro Bowls and three Super Bowls.
Craig made history by being the first player in NFL history to rush and catch 1,000 yards in the very same season. He had 1,050 yards on 214 carries and inspired the NFL with 92 receptions for 1,016 yards and 15 touchdowns.
