Toub attended University Of Texas and played as offensive line during his playing days. When we come to his his coaching career, In 1986, Toub started as a coach at the University of Texas-El Paso. He began his career as a graduate assistant before becoming the strength and conditioning coach for the next two years. Serving his alma mater in the coaching role was something he never saw coming.
High School
Toub chose Springfield because it had the top physical education department in the country, and he expected to coach high school football after graduation. Toub was offered a transfer to Texas-El Paso, a Division I football club, after his first two years at Springfield.
Toub began his coaching career in the National Football League in 2001 as the special teams/quality control coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.On January 24, 2004, Toub became the special teams coordinator for the Chicago Bears. Toub signed a three-year agreement with the Bears on February 27, 2007, extending his contract through the 2009 season. In 2006, the Bears’ special teams were extremely successful, with kicker Robbie Gould, return specialist Devin Hester, and gunner Brendon Ayanbadejo all earning Pro Bowl selections.
