Matthew Robert Wisler, popularly called Matt Wisler and nicknamed Wis, is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball(MLB). He was drafted by the San Diego Padres out of high school in the seventh round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2015

He attended Bryan High School in his hometown in Ohio. He had a national letter of intent to play college baseball with the Ohio State Buckeyes in Ohio, United States of America but chose to sign with the Padres.

Wisler has played for seven baseball teams since he started his professional career in 2015. He first played for Atlanta Braves from 2015 to 2018, he was traded in 2019 to the Cincinnati Reds.

A year after being with the Reds, he was traded to the San Diego Padres who also traded him that same year to the Seattle Mariners. In 2020 and 2021, he played for the Minnesota Twins and San Francisco Giants.

Wisler signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco Giants on December 8, 2020. On June 11, 2021, Wisler was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for a minor league pitcher.
