Zunino began his professional career after winning the Dick Howser Trophy, Golden Spikes Award, and Johnny Bench Award as a junior at the University of Florida. In the 2012 MLB draft, the Mariners took Zunino with the third overall choice. In 2013, he made his Major League Baseball debut.
