Joshua Edward Lowe, an American professional baseball outfielder with the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born on February 2, 1998, in Marietta, Georgia. In 2021, he made his MLB debut.
Lowe went to Marietta, Georgia’s Pope High School. He was a pitcher and a third baseman. He was named Georgia’s Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year as a senior, hitting .391 with 11 home runs and 39 RBI (RBIs).
He signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the Florida State Seminoles in college.
Nate Lowe, his brother is a professional baseball player with the Texas Rangers. Prior to Nate’s promotion to the High-A Charlotte Stone Crabs, the two were teammates with the Bowling Green Falcons.
His father, David, was picked by the Seattle Mariners in the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft, but he chose to attend the United States Naval Academy instead, eventually becoming a pilot in the United States Navy.
