Jordan Romano is a professional baseball pitcher of Canadian descent who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball(MLB). Jordan was born and raised in Markham, Canada on April 21, 1993.
His non-professional career as a baseball player started at Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy located at Markham, Ontario. From high school, he went on to Connors State College where he played college baseball.
During his first baseball season in college, he pitched a 0–1 win-loss record, 8.68 earned run average (ERA), and 14 strikeouts in 91⁄3 innings. Right after that season, he got transferred to Oral Roberts University, where he played another season for the Golden Eagles.
In 2014, Jordan was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays team in the tenth round of the 2014 MLB draft. He signed into the team and received a signing bonus of $25,000. He was then assigned to the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays after being invited to their spring training in 2018.
Jordan began the 2019 season with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Double-A Eastern League. In June that year, he made his MLB debut for the Jays. The following year, he earned his first MLB win and earned his first MLB save.
