Jah Cure or Iyah Cure who was born on October 11, 1978, in Hanover Parish Jamaica is a reggae musician from Jamaica who was nurtured in Kingston. It is established that he was given the name Jah Cure by one Capleton whom he came into contact with whiles aging.
Jah Cure had his breakthrough hit with his single “King in this Jungle” in the year 1997. He collaborated with Sizzla. It was produced by Beres Hammond who was his mentor by then.
It will interest you to know that Cure’s personal life was somehow rough. In the year 1998 in November, he was driving around the neighborhood of Montego Bay when he was suddenly pulled over by the police and arrested on the charges of gun possession, rape, and robbery. He had to face prosecution.
He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years of incarceration in the year 1999. Before his release, he released several albums and singles from prison and some of them became top hits. His debut album was “Free Jah’s Cure The Album the Truth” which was released in 2000. The cure was released in the year July 2007.
