DeVante Parker is an American football wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).
Parker is the child of Raneca Parker and previous Louisville running back Anthony Shelman. He went to Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was a three-sport star in football, track, and b-ball.
He was a double-cross All-State entertainer. He added up to 73 gets for 1,438 yards and 12 scores as a lesser. He was named first group All-State by The Courier-Journal.
He recorded 209 yards and one score against 6-A state champion Trinity, 137 and two scores and 184 and two scores in two games against No. 2 St. Xavier, 321 yards and two scores against 6-A finalist Male and 227 yards and three scores in only 3/4 against 3-A state champion Central.
He was named co-Paul Hornung Award victor as the state’s top player with Boyle County’s Lamar Dawson.
He pulled in 68 passes for 1,793 yards (26.4 yards a catch) and 19 scores as a senior, which positions fourth unequaled in state history.
