Bruce Johnson was popularly known for being a TV news anchorman and reporter for WUSA 9 TV based in Washington, D.C. He was born May 5, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky in the United States of America.

Johnson lived his life in the USA. His Alma mater is Kentucky State University where he studied for three years and later got a transfer to Northern Kentucky University where he studied political science and graduated in 1973.

After he obtained his bachelor’s degree, he went to the University of Cincinnati to study to obtain his master’s degree. He studied public affairs. He was later awarded an honorary doctorate.

Whiles alive, he was a member of the National Press Club (NPC), the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and was also a national advocate for heart attack and cancer survivors.

Johnson wrote the book, Heart to Heart, which was about his life and the survival stories of 11 other male and female cardiac survivors. The publication and promotion of the book were done in Beijing and Shanghai in China.

Bruce Johnson died of heart failure on  Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Delaware, United States. He was 71 years old.
