Nicholas Raymond Plummer, professionally called Nick Plummer is an American who plays professional baseball as an outfielder for the New York Mets baseball team. Nick’s height is 1.80 m and his weight is 104 kg.
He was born and raised in Michigan on July 31, 1996. He played high school baseball at Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In 2015, the American Baseball Coaches Association named him the National Player of the Year among high schoolers.
Nick had wanted to play college baseball at the University of Kentucky but he was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2015 MLB draft as he was considered to be one of the top prospects for the 2015 MLB draft. He chose to sign with the Cardinals instead of going to college.
The Cardinals paid him $2.124 million as a signing bonus. He made his professional debut that year playing in minor leagues with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Cardinals. He was ranked the 8th best prospect in the Cardinals organization before the 2016 season by Baseball America.
During the 2017 minor league season, he was assigned to the Peoria Chiefs of the Class A Midwest League. In November 2021, the New York Mets signed a one-year major league deal with him. Nick made his MLB debut on April 15, 2022, for the Mets.
