Nicholas Raymond Plummer (born July 31, 1996) is an American Major League Baseball outfielder for the New York Mets (MLB). He attended Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and was drafted 23rd overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.
Plummer was regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, and the St. Louis Cardinals picked him 23rd overall. He agreed to terms on June 15 for a $2.124 million incentive.
He played his whole rookie season with the Gulf Coast League Cardinals, appearing in 51 games and batting.228 with eight doubles, one home run, and 22 RBIs.
Prior to the 2016 season, Baseball America ranked him as the Cardinals’ eighth-best prospect. He missed the whole 2016 season due to hand surgery. In 2017, he returned to the Peoria Chiefs of the Class A Midwest League, where he batted.198 with four home runs and 17 RBIs in 92 games.
Plummer returned to Peoria in 2018, batting.205 in 104 games with eight home runs and thirty RBIs. In 96 games with the Palm Beach Cardinals of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2019, he slashed.176/.312/.294 with five home runs and 29 RBIs.
