Buck Farmer is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball who was born on February 20, 1991, and previously pitched for the Detroit Tigers.
Farmer made his major league debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 13, 2014. In his debut, he threw five innings, giving up four runs on six hits and striking out four batters while receiving a no-decision.
Following his debut, he was optioned to the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens. On August 23, 2014, the Tigers brought up Farmer again to start the opening game of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins.
Farmer threw 113 innings in his second big league start, giving seven runs on five hits while walking two and striking out three in a 12–4 defeat.
Farmer made a relief appearance for the Tigers on May 28, 2015, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, allowing seven runs on nine hits in five innings.
On June 24, 2015, he was recalled by the Tigers. Farmer has a 3.56 ERA with 59 strikeouts and 22 walks in 6813 innings of work with the Mud Hens in 12 starts.
