Dauri Moreta’s full name is Dauri Michell Moreta. He plays professional baseball as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. He has been with the Reds since he signed with them in 2015.
Dauri was born and raised in the Dominican Republic on April 15, 1996. After his non-professional career in his country, the Cincinnati Reds baseball team signed him as an international free agent on March 16, 2015.
He then began his professional career that same season by playing with the Dominican Summer League Reds. He spent his 2016 minor league season playing for both the AZL Reds and the Billings Mustangs. For the 2017 and 2018 minor league seasons, he played between the Billings and the Dayton Dragons.
The Reds assigned him to play with the Daytona Tortugas in 2019 and was also made to play for the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League. The 2020 minor league season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic thus he did not play that year. The 2021 minor league season saw him play between the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Louisville Bats.
The Reds added him to their 40-man roster on September 22, 2021, and promoted him to the major leagues for the first time that same day. He made his MLB debut on September 26, 2021, against the Washington Nationals.
