Seranthony Ambioris Domínguez Taveras (born November 25, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies (MLB).
In 2011, he signed as an international free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2018, Domínguez made his MLB debut. In October 2011, Domínguez signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent for $25,000.
In 2012, he made his professional debut with the DSL Phillies, where he spent the entire season, going 4–4 with a 3.48 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 671/3 innings in 15 games (11 starts).
In 2013, he returned to the DSL and posted a 4–6 record with a 2.96 ERA in 14 starts, striking out 58 batters in 76 innings. He had the most shutouts (2) and complete games in the Dominican Summer League (2).
He pitched for the GCL Phillies in 2014, posting a 2–2 record and 3.12 ERA while striking out 24 batters in 26 bullpen innings. On May 7, 2018, Domínguez was promoted to the Phillies and made his MLB debut the same night.
In his first five major-league appearances, he became the only reliever in baseball history (dating back to 1908) to record at least two outs while allowing no runs, hits, or walks.
He also became the first pitcher in history to go six innings without allowing a run, hit, or walk. On May 19, he made his first professional save against the St. Louis Cardinals, and on May 26, he won his first game.
