On August 3, 1996, Alec Daniels Bohm was born. He is a Major League Baseball third baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies in the United States (MLB). Dan Bohm is his father’s name, and Lisa Bohm is his mother’s name.
He attended Omaha’s Roncalli Catholic High School, however, he was not selected in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Instead, after graduating from high school, he chose to play collegiate baseball for the Wichita State Shockers.
Bohm was a decent offensive player with a batting average of over.300 over his three years with the Shockers.
Outside of Wichita State, Bohm played collegiate summer baseball in the Coastal Plain League and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
The Phillies had hoped to have him reach Class A by the end of 2018, but a knee ailment forced them to postpone that goal.
After the COVID-19 epidemic prompted the postponement of the Minor League Baseball season, Bohm played in the All-Star Futures Game in 2019 and began the 2020 season at an alternate training location.
In August, the Phillies brought up Bohm from that training facility, and he ended the season as the team’s starting third baseman.
Bohm started the 2021 MLB season at third base for the Phillies after a strong rookie season, but a series of defensive mistakes and a weak swing pushed him down to the minors in August.
