Easter is a season of celebration which comes with a lot of memorable acts and events done to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave.
Easter is also known as Pascha or Resurrection Sunday and is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
The celebration of the day comes with the making of Easter eggs for the Easter eggs and jelly that would be collected and decorated.
Below is the steps to go through to make one of the best Easter baskets you can ever come across;
How Do You Make an Easter Basket?
Things Need
- Brown packing paper, or Kraft paper
- Ribbon
- Adhesive
- Scissors
Steps To Follow
Cut the papers into sixteen 30 x 760mm strips. Fold each strip twice to make them approx 10mm wide and cut eight of the papers into two
Put eight short strips horizontally and then place another strip vertically and weave to make a 110mm square base for your basket.
Finish it up by glueing it up so it doesn’t remove.
Now weave four of the longer strips around the sides to create the ‘walls’ of your basket
Take three of the long strips, glue them together at the top and then plait together to create a handle.
Take the last long strip and stick along the inside of the top edge of the basket to both strengthen the ‘walls’ and cover the trimmed ends and two handle joins.
Decorate the basket to look like how you want to present it and you are good to go. Now you are ready to full your basket with all the jellies and easter eggs you would want.
