Dominican-American Major League Baseball pitcher, José Luis Cisnero was born on April 11, 1989, he is 6 feet 3 inches tall and, currently pitches for the Detroit Tigers (MLB). He has also played for the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball.
Cisnero signed as an international free agent with the Houston Astros on December 6, 2007, and was promoted to their 40-man roster on November 20, 2012.
On April 22, 2013, he made his big league debut. He made 33 bullpen appearances for the Astros over portions of two seasons, collecting a 4.66 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 48+13 innings. On November 3, 2014, he was released from his contract and became a free agent.
Cisnero signed a minor league agreement with the Cincinnati Reds on November 18, 2014. Due to Tommy John surgery, Cisnero missed the 2015 season. On November 6, 2015, he chose free agency.
Cisnero was signed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training by the Detroit Tigers on November 9, 2018.
