Zack Short is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021.
Short played collegiate baseball for Sacred Heart University and attended Kingston High School in Kingston.
He was a member of the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2015. Short was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 17th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
Short’s first professional season was split between the Arizona League Cubs and the Eugene Emeralds, where he batted for both teams after signing with them.
