Dylan File is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He was born on June 4, 1996.
In the 21st round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Ryan File to join their organization.
At Dixie State University, where he played collegiate baseball, he had a record of 8–2 with a 3.58 ERA over 15 games (14 starts) and struck out 75 batters throughout 93 innings of work. As a sophomore, he started 14 games and had a record of 6-1 with an earned run average of 2.99.
During that previous summer, he was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and played in the Northwoods League. After spending time with the Helena Brewers, the Biloxi Shuckers, and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2018, he was added to the 40-man roster of the Brewers organization after the season concluded.
He finished the 2019 season with a record of 15 wins and 6 losses, a 3.24 earned run average, and 136 strikeouts in 147 innings thrown.
It was discovered that he had a stress fracture in his right elbow in 2020, and he needed surgery to fix it. As a result, he was forced to miss the beginning of the 2021 season.
