Dylan File is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. He was born on June 4, 1996.
Dylan file was a baseball player for Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah. In his senior year of 2014, he went 7–2 with a 0.63 ERA and a.400 batting average.
After being undrafted in the 2015 MLB draft, he enrolled at Dixie State University and played collegiate baseball.
In his rookie year at Dixie State, File participated in 12 games (ten starts), going 6–1 with a 2.63 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 61+213 innings.
He was selected as the Freshman of the Year in the Pacific West Conference. He started 14 games as a sophomore in 2016, finishing 6–1 with a 2.99 ERA.
That summer, he was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League. In 2017, File earned the Pacific West Co-Pitcher of the Year after going 8–2 with a 3.58 ERA in 15 games (14 starts) and striking out 75 batters in 93 innings.
After the season, he was drafted in the 21st round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
