Brandon Kyle Woodruff is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers in Major League Baseball. Woodruff was born on February 10, 1993.
After graduating from high school, Brandon Woodruff was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2011.
He opted not to sign and instead played baseball for the Mississippi State University Bulldogs’ collegiate team.
In his junior year, 2014, he appeared in 14 games and posted a record of 1–2 with a 3.28 earned run average (eight starts).
In 2015, Woodruff was a pitcher for the Brevard County Manatees, and in 2016, he began his season with the Biloxi Shuckers.
After his brother was killed in an ATV accident in May, he was given a promotion to the Brewers in May.
On August 4, he made his debut, however on the following day, he was optioned back to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
He made 16 starts with Colorado Springs and finished with a record of 6-5 and a 4.30 earned run average (ERA).
In the history of the postseason, Woodruff is the 22nd pitcher and the 3rd relief pitcher to achieve this accomplishment.
