Luis Urias, a Milwaukee Brewers infielder, is his older brother.
Ramón Francisco Urias plays professional baseball for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball.
Urias signed as an international free agent with the Texas Rangers in December 2010.
He debuted professionally in 2011, batting .213 with one home run and 13 RBIs in 49 games with the Dominican Summer League Rangers.
He returned to the DSL in 2012, batting .268/.346/.342 in 56 games with one home run and 36 RBIs.
In 2013, the Rangers leased him to the Mexican League’s Diablos Rojos del México, where he played from 2013 until 2017. Over 106 games in 2017, he hit .340/.433/.577 with 19 home homers and 79 RBIs.
He signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals after the season.
Urias started the 2018 season with the Springfield Cardinals before joining the Memphis Redbirds. Between the two organizations, he hit .300/.356/.516 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs in ninety games.
After the 2018 season, the Cardinals added him to their 40-man roster.
Urias spent time with the Springfield Cardinals and the Palm Beach Cardinals before returning to Memphis to start 2019.
Between the two teams, he batted in 103 games. With ten home runs and 55 RBIs, he batted 262.
The Cardinals designated Urias for assignment on February 6, 2020.
On February 11, 2020, the Baltimore Orioles claimed Uras off waivers. Uras got promoted to MLB for the first time on August 18, 2020.
Urias made his major league debut on August 20, striking out in his lone plate appearance against the Boston Red Sox.
Urias hit .360/.407/.560 with a home run and three RBI in 25 at-bats for the Orioles in his rookie season.
