Albert Enmanuel Abreu Daz is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of the Dominican Republic (MLB). He was previously with the New York Yankees.
In August 2013, Abreu signed as an international free agent with the Houston Astros.
He debuted professionally in 2014 with the Dominican Summer League Astros, with a 3–2 record with a 2.78 earned run average (ERA) in 14 games.
He began 2016 with the Quad Cities River Bandits, posting a 2–8 record and 3.50 ERA before being promoted to the Lancaster JetHawks, where he concluded the season, going 1–0 with a 5.40 ERA in three games.
The Astros traded Abreu and Jorge Guzmán to the New York Yankees for Brian McCann on November 17, 2016.
He pitched for the Charleston RiverDogs, Tampa Yankees, and GCL Yankees in 2017, earning a combined 2–3 record with a 3.38 ERA in 53.1 innings thrown.
