33-year-old Charles Edward Culberson was born on April 10, 1989, he is an American Major League Baseball infielder for the Texas Rangers (MLB).
Culberson was selected in the first round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft by the San Francisco Giants. He formerly played for the San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball.
In 2012, he made his MLB debut. Culberson was born in Rome, Georgia, to Charles and Kim Culberson. Chelce is his older sister. Culberson’s father was the Giants’ 16th selection in the 1984 draft and spent five seasons in their minor league organization.
While some baseball websites claim that Charlie Culberson’s grandpa was Leon Culberson, who played in the big leagues from 1943 to 1948, Charlie Culberson has said that “he was actually my grandfather’s first cousin.”
Culberson signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on December 28, 2020, and was invited to spring training. Culberson was added to the 40-man roster on March 29, 2021.
