Willie Shawn Lamont Calhoun is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Texas Rangers (MLB). In 2017, he made his MLB debut.

Calhoun graduated from Benicia High School in California. He was drafted in the 17th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, but he did not sign with them.

Calhoun played collegiate baseball for the Arizona Wildcats at the University of Arizona. He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Wareham Gatemen in 2014.

He moved to Yavapai College after a year in Arizona.  Calhoun received a professional deal with the Dodgers after signing with Kansas State University in junior college.

Kris Calhoun was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.

He has played for the team since then. His 2016 season included stints with the Great Lakes Loons, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, and Tulsa Drillers, among other teams.

The Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League took him on as a free agent after the season ended. For the 2017 season, he was promoted to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers from the Arizona League.

He broke his forearm after being struck by a pitch from Kansas City Royals pitcher Kris Bubic on June 27, 2021. He was later diagnosed with a fractured left ulna and put on the injured list.

Calhoun hit.250/.310/.381/.691 with 6 home runs and 25 RBI in 75 games in 2021. For the Rangers, Calhoun avoided salary arbitration on March 22, 2022, for $1.3 million.
