Daniel Lynch is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021.
He attended Douglas Southall Freeman High School before attending the University of Virginia and playing baseball for the Virginia Cavaliers.
The baseball player debuted in the major leagues with the Kansas City Royals on May 3, 2021.
His left hand is used for both batting and throwing. Daniel has a 7-6 win-loss record, a 5.25 earned run average, and 71 strikeouts in the major leagues.
In the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, the Kansas City Royals selected Lynch with the 34th overall choice.
Lynch played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Carolina League’s Class A-Advanced division in 2019 and was selected as a Carolina League All-Star midway through the season.
He was 5–2 with a 3.10 ERA in 15 starts. Following the season, he was selected to play for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League, where he earned All-Star honors.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the minor league season was canceled in 2020, and he did not play a game.
