Brady attended as well as being a product of Tavares High School in Taveras, Florida. He was known to be responsible for helping the high school to win its first-ever district championship in 24 years.

He then was transferred to Austin High School in Eustis, Florida. There, he recorded 110 strikeouts in 67 innings. He was first drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.
