Snider was taken in the 12th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the Kansas City Royals. Snider pitched for the rookie-level Burlington Royals and the Single-A Lexington Legends in his first season, with a 3.21 ERA in 17 outings.
Snider returned to Lexington in 2018, pitching 76.0 innings in 29 games with a 5.57 ERA and 50 strikeouts. Snider divided the year between the rookie-level AZL Royals and the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks, with a 2.24 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 31 games.
Due to the discontinuation of the minor league season due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Snider did not participate in any games in 2020.
