Snider was drafted in the 12th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the Kansas City Royals. Snider divided his first season between the rookie-level Burlington Royals and the Single-A Lexington Legends, throwing to a 3.21 ERA in 17 innings.
Snider returned to Lexington in 2018, earning a 5.57 ERA in 76.0 innings pitched over 29 games with 50 strikeouts. Snider divided the year between the rookie-level AZL Royals and the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks, pitching for a 2.24 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 31 games.
Due to the postponement of the minor league season due to the COVID-19, Snider did not participate in a game in 2020.
Snider pitched for the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in 2021, posting a 4.48 ERA in 66.1 innings thrown across 48 appearances. Snider was added to the Royals’ 40-man roster after the season ended on November 19, 2021.
Snider was named to the Royals’ 2022 opening day roster.
