Nick Pratto is an American professional baseball first baseman in the Kansas City Royals organization. The Royals selected high schooler Nick Pratto with the 14th overall choice in the 2017 MLB Draft.
Pratto, a Huntington Beach, California native, came into the season as a two-way player. The southpaw still throws for his high school team in Huntington Beach, but it was his hitting that made him a first-round pick.
It wasn’t the first time Pratto had been on the national stage after hearing his name called at the draft.
