Dolly Rebecca Parton is a country music singer-songwriter, actress, and businesswoman from the United States.
Following her success as a songwriter for others, Parton released her first album, Hello, I’m Dolly, in 1967, which led to continued success throughout the 1960s (both as a solo artist and with a series of duet albums with Porter Wagoner), before her sales and chart peak occurred in the 1970s and continued into the 1980s.
Parton’s records did not sell as well in the 1990s, but she regained financial success in the new century and has issued albums on a variety of indie labels, including her own Dolly Records, since 2000.
Who Is Dolly Parton’s Husband Carl Thomas Dean?
On July 20, 1942, Carl Thomas Dean was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and raised there.
He is a reserved individual who prefers to live a quiet life away from the spotlight, allowing his renowned wife, Dolly, to take center stage.
We don’t know much about his life, but we do know that he began his career in business when he was in his early twenties.
Carl operated a profitable asphalt laying company in Nashville when he was younger, albeit he is now retired.
Dolly and Carl’s relationship is reported to have started with love at first sight.
“My initial instinct was I’m going to marry that girl,” Dean said of Dolly, who he met outside a laundromat in Nashville when he was 18 years old.
“My next thought was, ‘Lord, she’s attractive.’ And that was the start of my existence.”
On May 30, 1966, the pair married.
In 2016, they renewed their vows to mark their 50th wedding anniversary.
