According to Sheriff Rick Singleton of Lauderdale County, Alabama, where the unrelated couple escaped on April 29, no law enforcement personnel fired bullets.

According to US Marshal Matt Keely, police conducting surveillance noticed Vicky White entering a motel wearing a wig before the chase began. She and Casey White then got into their car and drove away.

Authorities continued to monitor them until a car chase began, which ended when a member of the US Marshals task team crashed a vehicle into the Cadillac the duo was in.

He said that the automobile crashed and turned over. According to the US Marshals, Casey White was driving the automobile, despite Wedding previously telling media that Vicky White was the driver.

Officers were able to extract the convict from the destroyed automobile, but Vicky White was trapped inside with a gunshot wound to the head, according to Keely.

According to Keely, Casey White reportedly instructed cops to aid “his wife” who had shot herself in the head and claimed he didn’t do it. Casey White and Vicky White are not married, according to Keely.
