Robin Parkinson was an English actor known for his comedy roles. He appeared as the second actor to portray Monsieur Ernest Leclerc in 22 episodes of ‘Allo ‘Allo!.

“Robin Parkinson, actor, famed for ‘Allo ‘Allo and as the voice of Button Moon, has died peacefully at the age of 92 with his wife and daughters by his side,” said a statement from his family.

For more than four decades, Robin has worked in the worlds of film, theater, and television. Girls About Town, The Many Wives Of Patrick, The Young Ones, and Rising Damp are just a few of the television shows he has appeared in.

Robin resumed his role as Monsieur Ernest Leclerc on the West End stage in the 1990s, and he also toured Australia.

He also appeared in the Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s performance of The Imperial Nightingale, displaying his acting prowess.

The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry and a number of West End plays allowed him to continue his career.

Robin, a native of Coventry, gained fame as the voice of Button Moon on television.

In the 1980s, he appeared in TV commercials for Tunes and Babycham.

Sarah Parkinson, the 92-year-daughter, old’s died of breast cancer in September 2003.
